VOICE PLACEMENT
COME SING WITH US!
The Durham Community Chorale under the direction of Melody Zentner and accepts voice placement applications each semester. We are looking for vocalists who are ready to come to rehearsal fully prepared (notes and rhythms learned), can memorize music, have a willingness to sing in multiple languages, and who enjoy a highly interactive process, which includes taking personal direction from the Artistic Director. Singers are chosen on the basis of individual sound quality, potential blend with other candidates, musicianship, preparation skills, and one’s ability to take direction. Experience in ensemble singing is essential.

In order to begin the voice placement process for the Durham Community Chorale, please let us know about you, your interest, and any previous experience you have by filling out the Voice Placement Request form below. Once you complete this form, you will be contacted by our Artistic Director. Completion of the form is required in order for you to be notified about voice placement opportunities.

Rehearsals are held every Tuesday night at 7:15-8:45 pm at the Durham Arts Council, 120 Morris Street, Durham
